If you keep all your relationships in one place, then you’ll need to use tags or another identifier to isolate the folks that really matter to you. I’m not active on Facebook at all, but we do have a business page we manage passively. . We looked for systems which used tagging as their core data model, instead of categorization.

Over there, on top of everything else, you have to convince someone that it’s cooler to work for your startup than it is to work for Twitter or Facebook.
