Misk 500 MENA Accelerator Celebrates First Demo Day

Its been one week since the Misk 500 Batch 1 Demo Day and we’re still smiling. Due to the observance of Ramadan in the region, the event began at 10 PM and concluded at 3 AM. While originally planned to be an event for an audience of 200, the final attendance at the KAFD Conference Center included over 300 investors and guests.¹

Before the event I wanted to find out what I could about the students. NEVER lead with features. They had more advanced degrees.

One time, I spoke at a meetup that was divided into my talk and demos--and the organizer assumed I wanted to go on before the demos. I didn''t understand why it would matter, but she told me that most of the investors like going before so they could skip out after the demos and not get bombared at the end of the event.
