Last night I attended the inaugural Open Angel Forum event started by Jason Calacanis , a fellow LA resident. Jason started the Open Angel Forum in response to his frustration that entrepreneurs were being charged by some angel organizations to present at their events. Open Angel Forum San Fran – Team Calacanis Raises the Bar

Jason Calacanis started this initiative in response to the pay-to-play network of angel events that he despised. The first event was a big success and brought out many of LA’s angel elite. The second event was in Boulder. Tonight’s event at the 5A5 Steak Lounge in San Francisco was even better.
