So I can definitely see a “My Grandmom Is…” extension of the series. So I think we need to do a lot of expectation setting and educating so that people know what is possible and what’s not for us. When I was two days from my due date, they changed the location of our monthly Forum so I could be close to the hospital.

Definitely. I also want children’s hospitals to be empty. The educated idealist in me hopes we can accomplish our goals on all fronts: Take care of our team the way we already do—free lunches, paid insurance, etc—take care of our community at the levels we have been and even more, and still run a profitable business.

The third is it’s opaque and definitely not transparent. Because what was happening is we had hospitals and others who couldn’t buy at our pricing, at our retail pricing. How did the system get to this point of opacity where different hospitals pay for different prices for different drugs? I’m like, no.
