By some estimates, 50-60% of New York’s startup community lives in Brooklyn--and at Etsy it’s as high as 80%. I will be working hard to help it reach that potential, while continuing the work I’ve been doing for NYC’s tech community as a whole for the last seven plus years. Brooklyn is my home.

Same with Gaga. It was us planting seeds in every place.”

Other people were in the online community called “ The Well &# (founded in 1985). We were looking for what I call the “6 C’s of Social Networking&# – Communications, connectedness, common experiences, content, commerce & cool experiences (fun!). And so it goes with social networking. And then came AOL.
