I grew up here, went to school here, and have worked hard over the last 5+ years to help build up the NYC innovation community. It’s often some combination of the idea not being big enough to sustain a venture exit or the company just not being appropriate for venture financing. Misconception #2: There’s no tech talent in NYC/Wall St.
