In Bay Ridge, The Art Room is a store front fine arts school for kids and represents the tip of the iceberg in storefront education centers. Cycling studios like SoulCycle are thriving and yoga centers are popping up left and right. That doesn't mean you won't find other attempts at solving other aspects of the online/offline connection.

When covering a story of a mishandled altercation between members of The Wing that involved issues of race, Jezebel referred to The Wing as “a glossy women’s coworking space we keep having to write about.” The media, genuinely tired of the story of her success, was all too eager to point that out.

General Assembly isn''t really a coworking company. It''s been an education business for quite a while now, if you haven''t noticed--and it''s a business they''re damn good at. By professionalizing startup education in NYC, GA has made a huge impact in the community. GA isn''t any better at coworking than anywhere else.
