Throughout all of these years I was a full-time VC so Launchpad really came out of evenings and weekends for me. Adam had a full time startup and then was doing consulting (he later raised a VC fund). Throughout 2012 & 2013 we funded many companies and then pulled together a second fund. Almost none remain from that era.

We had a good 4 year run with this company and built up some valuable intellectual property, which we sold to another company in 2012. And right now the handful of cleantech entrepreneurs that are still out there have been hearing the mantra: “Don’t even bother with VC money.” Two years later I spun out NanOasis, my first startup.
This is going to be BIG.

Three companies from the Studiomates community-- Sherpaa , Tinybop , and Editorially --received VC dollars in 2012. On a per resident, annualized bases, that's tops for any kind of co-working or incubation space in the city--but, unlike in similar setups, that's not even the goal of the space. via Brownstoner.

While we anticipate the VC fundraising environment will become more cautious across the board, we don’t see robotics being uniquely impacted. The pitch arrived along with a five-paragraph summary of his accomplishments. Drone Fund led the raise, which also features HAX (SOSV), Incubate Fund, SBI Investment and DBJ Capital.
