We are making two changes to our standard deal in conjunction with a recent fundraise. Starting with the Winter 2021 batch, our deal will be $125,000 for 7% equity on a post-money safe, and we will reduce the amount of our pro rata right to 4% of subsequent rounds. In the coming years, this will enable us to fund as many as 3000 more companies. For background, YC originally gave about $20,000 for 6% of a company.

Microsoft announced the acquisition of Israeli IoT security specialists CyberX in June for an undisclosed amount. Microsoft will incorporate CyberX technology and talent into its cloud Azure unit, where it already offers the Azure IoT stack, Azure Security Center for IoT and Azure Sentinel. The CyberX team will now report in to fellow Israeli Yuval Eldar, Microsoft GM of IoT Security.

Lemonade Inc., the technology-driven insurance startup, has told regulators that its initial public offering (IPO) is seeking a share price of between $23 to $26. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday (June 25), the company’s revised Form S-1 reported the company will sell 11 million shares to raise from $253 million and $286 million.
