European entrepreneurs who want to launch startups could do worse than Switzerland. Lawyers and accountants tend to err on the conservative side, leading to a low failure rate of businesses but less “moonshot innovation,” shall we say. Today, pitch competitions, incubators, accelerators, VCs and angel groups proliferate.

I grew up here, went to school here, and have worked hard over the last 5+ years to help build up the NYC innovation community. What gets frustrating is that I tend to hear the same arguments over and over again from new entrepreneurs, and many of them are just completely unfunded. You know what—it’s supposed to work like that!
