Conversely, a rising tide of technology-based economicdevelopment will lift all our boats.
Studies have shown that students who participate in this program feel connected to their school, the teachers, and their peers, and don’t end up socially isolated. It’s estimated that nearly 160,000 children miss school every day because they are afraid to go, and one in ten who drop out do so because of repeated bullying.
They might work in local, state or federal government, a university, an economicdevelopment agency, a chamber of commerce, a small non-profit organization, a large corporation, or more directly in some kind of entrepreneurial support organization. In the soul of an ecosystem builder lives a servant leader working for systems change.
We are grappling with healthcare challenges, irreversibly disrupted industries, millions of underemployed workers, and devastating racial and gender inequities. Together, we can empower contributors of all races, genders, and backgrounds to turn disruption and division into creation and abundance – for all. We need ingenuity.
Our 110 communities are diverse yet they all need an enabling environment of supportive regulatory frameworks, inclusive economicdevelopment initiatives, stronger social and environmental sustainability standards, and a brave impact funding environment. To date, our community has reached over 25,000 such impact-driven enterprises.
