Companies in the technology, retail, wholesale and manufacturing sectors are eligible as QSBs, but those in hospitality, personal services, the financial sector, farming and mining are not eligible. Section 1202 allows capital gains from QSBSs to be excluded from federal taxes. Wyden; President Biden has already supported the bill.
