During my tenure with the local University I worked with economic developers all across Iowa, from Sioux City to Davenport and a great many small but mighty communities in-between: Grinnell, Parkersburg, Webster City and Lamoni to name a few. I grew up in a small town in north Iowa—Cedar Falls, to be exact.

Covering business areas from sustainable living to circular fashion, gastronomy to well-being, the program provided participants with mentorships, business skills, one-to-one clinics with GoDaddy experts, and peer networking. In 2020 it expanded to Germany through Impact Hub Munich and the target audience for each location changed. .

The report also highlights how Impact Hub members are encouraging economic growth, especially in the social impact sector, with 10,000+ new ventures and 29,000+ net new jobs created since 2012.
