Video pitching. I see an uptick in pitching via pre-recorded video. We used Loom to pre-record our pitch and share it with potential investors. It’s a great way to personalize a pitch deck and share it with interested parties. Continued focus on sustainability. Here’s what they shared.

Today, pitch competitions, incubators, accelerators, VCs and angel groups proliferate. I really wish that the business case for social and ecological startups will finally be proven (kind of like Oatly showed with the Blackstone investment). Also sustainability will hopefully be put back on the agenda.

It’s often some combination of the idea not being big enough to sustain a venture exit or the company just not being appropriate for venture financing. It might take you six months to get to know an investor well, so don’t expect a check on the first pitch. They’re all doing pretty well.
