Europe’s Chips Act to bake in up to €2BN in funding support for startups and scale-ups

The Commission wants to more than double the bloc’s share of global chip production to 20% by 2030 — up from the 9% currently. A dedicated semiconductor equity investment facility (under InvestEU program ) will also support scale-ups and SMEs with market expansion, per the Commission.
