Europe’s Chips Act to bake in up to €2BN in funding support for startups and scale-ups

The Commission wants to more than double the bloc’s share of global chip production to 20% by 2030 — up from the 9% currently. It said expects Chips Act “support equity” for startups and scale-ups in the sector to reach €2BN. We should not rely on one country or one company to ensure safety of supply.
