Jerusalem’s economy and therefore startup scene suffered after the second Intifada (the Palestinian uprising that began in late September 2000 and ended around 2005). Israel’s government is very supportive of its high-tech economy. But today the city is far more stable, and is therefore attracting an increasing number of startups.
