The organization, a multi-entity corporation consisting of for-profit and non-profit entities, is in its twenty-second year of operations with funding contracts from the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) and private partners across the state. i2E’s investment arm, i2E Management Company, Inc., manages five venture capital funds and has nearly $88 million of investment capital under management. i2E is hiring a Staff Accountant position to provide accounting and financial support services to the organization and its subsidiaries.
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant position reports directly to the Vice President and Director of Finance and works closely with other divisions of the company to provide accounting and financial support services to the organization and its subsidiaries. i2E, Inc. is a multi-entity corporation consisting of for-profit and non-profit entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists VP and Director of Finance in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and fund management reports.
- Responsible for preparing numerous accounting reports, both routine and ad hoc for distribution to internal and external parties.
- Responsible for maintaining reconciliations of all intra-company accounts and maintaining filing system for all vendor data and deposit records.
- Codes and records cash receipts transactions and reconciles account receivable balances.
- Prepares monthly invoices to government agencies for reimbursement.
- Responsible for preparing and entering general journal entries of basic to mid-level complexity on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Assists in preparing and submitting audit work papers as required.
- Assists in preparing tax return work papers.
- Responsible for archiving financial statements and other financial accounting documents in compliance with i2E Accounting Policies.
- Assists VP and Director of Finance with other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent analytical and quantitative judgment, attention to detail and preferably three or more years of experience in business with the ability to work with all levels of professionals. Candidate must be familiar with QuickBooks software, Excel and Word. Working knowledge of other financial accounting software is a plus and preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with accounting systems conversion. The Staff Accountant:

- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment

Educational Requirements
The Staff Accountant should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent business experience. An accountant with an MBA in Finance, CPA, or CMA is desirable. The Staff Accountant should also have demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
