She has been in VC for over 12 years and investing in blockchain since 2016, with multiple unicorns and exits. She previously worked for Dragonfly Capital, Scout Ventures and used to practice securities and corporate law at Anderson Kill. She serves on Boards such as Wharton Entrepreneurship, Global Digital Assets and Crypto Association, GBBC, and Nightfood (NGTF). Etc. She has been named top 50 women of web 3, Business Insider’s Women VC’s to watch, 2021 systematic leader in asset management, top 100 Women in Fintech, and top 50 global Blockchain thinkers. She is an occasional host and commentator at Defiance Media and Forbes, having previously done anchoring and contributing on air. She holds a business degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

How did you break into tech investing?

I started as a professional angel investor around 12 years ago. I realized quickly that I only wanted to focus on tech investing.

What is it that excites you about investing in Blockchain and AI?

The potential to use these technologies to solve real-world problems and how they can intersect.

What has been your biggest challenge when it comes to finding the “right deals”?

The barrage of inbound that I can not get to.

What major trends do you expect to see in Blockchain and AI over the next 5 years that excites you?

A major trend this year is “refi” or regenerative finance. Blockchain and AI are being used in so many ways to fight climate change. There is also the fractionalization of real-world assets that allows for the democratization of access and therefore more financial inclusion.

If you had to share, “words of wisdom,” with a Founder who’s about to start their own startup, what would they be?

Make sure you have the right partners. Read the book Grit by Angela Duckworth.
