Lyor Cohen (http://en.wikipedia.o...) - who has been a pioneer in the development of hip hop, and is Chairman and CEO Recorded Music of Recorded Music for Warner Music - will offer some thoughts and lead a discussion on what trends are effecting music in a +30 year sense.  There will be an iPod check at the door to determine the copyright status of your digital music.  Violators will be prosecuted.  No, just kidding...I think.

10AM through the weekend   Crisis Camp Haiti NYC-New York technologists helping the Haiti relief effort

Crisis Camp Haiti NYC will take place January 30 & 31, 2010 joining together with technology volunteers at Crisis Camps in three countries and 10 cities to provide local opportunities for citizens to assist in crisis mapping, data management, and RSS feed aggregation. In addition, people with specialized skills such as translation, computer programing and literacy advocates are encouraged to participate.
