Why you need to pay attention to your restrooms

It’s time that you stop neglecting your restrooms and bring the spirit of hospitality to every corner of your space, including the loo.

Think about it, all your guests, staff and your members likely use it and is frequently one of the most forgotten spaces. Don’t you notice when you walk into a restaurant or department store restroom that has a candle or some lotion or mouthwash, or think about the hotel that supplies the good stuff – it makes an impression. Most importantly- it matters and its memorable. Its time that you bring that idea to your own coworking space.

Think about the things you have in your own restroom at home and how it would be so nice to have some of those items at the space where (let’s be real) you spend most of your day. We have you covered. We recently put together a list on amazon of all of the things you could use to level up your bathroom game but are calling out our favorites below.

Supply wise:

• Aside from the obvious TP and paper towels, keep a basket or tray full of the following:
• Mouthwash
• Floss picks
• Lotion
• Hairspray or dry shampoo
• Aerosol deodorant
• Feminie hygiene products
• Poo Pourri
• A jar of perfume or cologne samples- the ones you college but never do anything with
• Lint roller
• Tide to go pen

Aesthetic wise:

• A full length mirror- every one could use a once over before heading into an important meeting.
• A small plant or few (use an air plant or snake plant if sunlight is scarce)
• A mirror decal- a solid reminder some days
• Consider decanting your hand soap, mouthwash or lotion into reusable matching dispensers

The physical space:

• When was the last time you painted? Are the walls all scuffed up?
• Do you have hooks for handbags/clothing?
• What about Changing station or pumping space
• When was the last time you cleaned the vents?
• Do you have enough trash bins?

Its the little things. Leveling up your restroom doesn’t have to be expensive to be impactful.
