ORLANDO, Florida—Members of the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) have elected seven individuals to three-year terms on the InBIA Board of Directors. Their terms began on Oct. 1, 2020.

Six of these individuals are first-time members of the InBIA board, including:

* Amanda Chocko, director of Surge, Lakeshore Advantage

* Linda Fowler, president, Regionerate LLC

* Lynne Henkiel, director of Innovation Ecosystems, Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute

* Peter Mok, head of strategic partnership, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation

* Brad Rickelman, assistant director, Meridian Technology Center Business Incubator

* Lisa Smith, executive director, Bowie Business Innovation Center

 

Krista Covey, president of First Flight Venture Center and InBIA’s incoming first vice chair, was re-elected to a second board term. In addition to these seven elected members, Matt Gardner, chief executive of the California Technology Council was appointed to serve a one-year term.

“Each of the candidates are thought leaders in our industry and bring a history of involvement with InBIA,” says InBIA President and CEO Charles Ross. Board members prioritize member services, oversee the association’s financial well-being and plan for the future. We appreciate their commitment to making InBIA a better organization in every way.”

Based in Orlando, Florida, the International Business Innovation Association is one of the world’s leading organizations advancing entrepreneurship center management and entrepreneurship. The new board members join the following individuals whose terms will continue in 2020-2021:

* Steve DeBretto, executive director, Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago

* Ron Duggins, professor of entrepreneurship, University of Central Arkansas

* Herman Nyamunga, director, PowerUp Your Business

* Paul Riser Jr., director, Detroit Urban Solutions

* Leslie Lynn Smith, national director of Gender Equality in Tech

* Esther Vargas, site manager, UCF Business Incubation – Kissimmee
